St. Bonaventure at Simi Valley

ST. BONAVENTURE at SIMI VALLEY – St. Bonaventure (1-1, 0-1) looks to rebound after losing their first league game in 64 contests dating all the way back to 1995. Usually it’s a good thing to have amnesia when it comes to making mistakes in football, but Coach Todd Therrien has stated the opposite. He says he hopes his players will never forget the feeling they had in the pits of their stomachs after blowing a 19-0 lead and eventually losing 33-32 to Oaks Christian in overtime. He feels that if they remember such a catastrophe, it will never happen again. Meanwhile, Simi Valley comes in (1-1, 1-0) believing they can pull off an upset after just holding on in a 41-35 shootout victory against Agoura. The Pioneers are led by Quarterback Jake Maranto who completed 90 percent of his passes for 189 yards last week. The Seraphs are led by Junior Quarterback Marc Evans and his full arsenal of weapons including Cody Kurz, Shaun Wick and Tanner Souza.

Prediction: St. Bonaventure 42 Simi Valley 7
