Best $110 investment ever

So I bought Mlb.tv for the first time. It’s been three years in the making since I started contemplating this purchase. After having it for two days, I haven’t regret it for a single second, and I realize it may be the best $110 a man can spend.

Doesn’t it just comfort you to know at any time during the day, you could be watching four games?! And don’t worry about the few games you deem not important enough to make your top 4, because every time somebody scores, a highlight pops up on your screen. All you have to do is click on it and you see the highlight instantly. And you can literally watch baseball from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m.! Unbelievable. Amazing. It’s great, you can travel anywhere. If you moved from New York to the west coast and are homesick, Mlb.tv is the cure – they bring you back to the east coast with one click of the mouse via SNY or YES. pnc_park_viewWhen someone noticed me watching the Marlin-Pirate game yesterday and said to me ‘why the heck are you watching that?’ I said, because I can. I went to PNC park, and got a good look at that ridiculous new stadium for the very first time. You don’t even have to be a baseball fan to appreciate it. The field and stadium itself are nice enough, but when you add the extra ambiance of the bridge, the river and all of Downtown Pittsburgh lit up during the night, it’s really just a cool place to be. Another great thing about mlb.tv is the ability to juxtapose the home and away broadcasts. It’s very compelling to compare how two different announce teams call the same game. Being able to watch the NESN announcers may be worth it enough. If you ever have a chance, you’ve got to listen to them. You’ll understand what I mean as soon as you do… And what perfect timing to listen to them – YANKS-SOX round 1 tomorrow!!!
